A recent survey of 766 CEOs worldwide revealed that 93% consider sustainability will be critical to the success of their enterprises, according to an article in Packaging Digest. The study was conducted by the United Nations Global Compact and the consulting group, Accenture.
Action being taken by businesses includes communications with consumers regarding sustainable products, training at all levels, implementing programs and measuring performance on sustainability. The majority of respondents identified brand identity, consumer trust and corporate reputation as drivers of sustainability.
