USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service officials have ordered a Class II recall of about 208,768 lbs. of frozen meat and poultry food products of New York-based Buffalo SAV. A news report said the announcement was made on June 30.
Recall was made after the New York State Department of Agriculture & Markets notified safety regulators of an unapproved ingredient declared on the label. Several items, manufactured between June 1, 2008 and June 5, 2009 are under recall. Consumers who have been negatively affected by the recalled products may be entitled to compensation.
