A group of Zimbabwe investors has purchased 1,000 acres of land in Ghana in order to establish commercial poultry, corn and vegetable farms.
The project will partner both Zimbabwean and Ghanaian farmers to produce crops for the local and international markets. According to Martin Dinha, Mashonaland central governor and resident minister of Zimbabwe, the move is meant to transfer Zimbabwe commercial farming expertise to Ghana as well as reduce Ghana's import bill and promote agriculture and trade between both countries.
