Aviagen Anadolu held its fifth technical sharing knowledge meeting recently in North Cyprus. More than 130 customers, including company owners, general managers, parent stock (PS) managers and members of the technical teams were in attendance.
The main objective of the seminar was to discuss health and well-being in respect to local challenges and conditions. A secondary objective was to examine egg production persistency and sustainability in the PS production cycle.
Experts such as Dr. Nick Dorko, Aviagen’s global head of veterinary technical services, and Robin Singleton from the Aviagen Asia team, were invited to speak to the gathered audience. Guests also heard a presentation on the future of the world’s leading broiler breeder brand, Ross 308, from Aviagen Geneticist Dr. Victor Olori. In other presentations, guests were provided with a roadmap about genetic development future of Ross products and also a projection of market development for the near future.
Ali Yavuz, technical operations manager at Aviagen, said: “We are proud to hold the fifth of our technical knowledge sharing meeting, which has become a classic for the Turkish poultry industry. It is pleasing to see that nearly the whole Turkish poultry industry is represented at senior management level at this event.
“We work very closely with our customers and we know their challenges very well. We invited renowned speakers to talk about issues that are high on the agenda for any poultry producer. Aviagen Anadolu has a very sophisticated technical service team and continues to offer the highest level of support to the industry.”
The objectives of the meeting were determined through feedback from Aviagen Anadolu’s customers and the technical teams’ field observations.
The discussions came to a close with a sightseeing tour of the local area and a gala dinner.
