Scottish Agricultural College (SAC)'s Poultry Science MSc course has recently been updated in cooperation with the UK poultry industry, including the British Poultry Council.
The course, which is now available both part-time and online, has attracted interest from students as far away as Thailand and Zambia. "In redesigning the course as a distance learning program we were responding in particular to requests from those in the poultry industry who wanted to improve their skills without giving up a year to study full-time," said Nick Sparks, head of SAC's Avian Science Research Centre. The course attracts nutritionists, breeders, veterinarians and other poultry sector workers who want to develop their career and businesses.
