Moy Park has signed a contract with Tesco to launch nine poultry products in Ireland Tesco stores, according to reports.
The products, which use locally sourced poultry, include fresh-breaded, corn-fed and ready-to-cook products. “We are delighted to take on this new business with Tesco," said Paul Burch, Moy Park accounts director Ireland. "Not only is this a seal of approval for the quality and taste of our products, but also further strengthens our partnership with Tesco."
According to both companies, the products focus on Northern Ireland's preference for locally sourced produce and healthy food that is quick to cook. "Our recent research has shown that, next to price, buying local is a priority for shoppers," said Sandra Weir, fresh food buying manager, Tesco Northern Ireland. "Through our Taste Northern Ireland campaign, we are encouraging our customers to get to know the people and places behind their favorite local food and drink products."
