U.S. Attorney's officials say a northwest Alabama man has pleaded guilty to arson at a Marshall Durbin field operations office in Haleyville.
Spokeswoman Peggy Sanford, of the Northern District of Alabama, said Charles William Heavner Jr., 43, of Hackleburg, pleaded guilty to maliciously damaging the office in December 2012, the Tuscaloosa News reported.
Authorities said Heavner was angry the company did not provide chicks for him to raise because of a maintenance problem at the company's chicken housing facility. Sanford said he doused the building in an liquid and lit it on fire after a dispute in the company's office. He was later arrested in Oklahoma.
Heavner could face a maximum of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. He's scheduled to be sentenced in August.
