Cobb has opened a new biotechnology laboratory in Siloam Springs, Ark., that will double the company's capacity of work on health diagnostics and animal genetics.
The complex, an 11,000-square-foot, $2 million investment, will enhance the range of testing to provide for future product development and continued growth, according to the company. “With the rapidly expanding rate of incorporating molecular DNA based technologies, the timing is perfect to enable our quality assurance and research teams to have the very latest equipment they need,” said Joseph Schultz, director of laboratory services. The facility's proximity to both the University of Arkansas and John Brown University is another plus for the company, said Schultz.
