African swine fever outbreaks reported in Russia, Belarus

    According to Russian veterinary authorities, the region's wild boar population is infected with African swine fever in Golovino (Uglich, Yaroslavskaya). Approximately 90 wild boars have been diagnosed with the disease, according to the OIE.
    A second outbreak of African swine fever has been reported in the Vitebsk region of Belarus. The outbreak is located on a farm (Subsidiary "Luchesa", OAO "Vitebskiy kombinat khleboproduktov", Vitebskiy) with a total of 20,611 susceptible pigs. Approximately 26 pigs have tested positive for African swine fever, according to the OIE.
