A truck carrying poultry for Pilgrim's overturned on September 10 near Clarksville, Ga., resulting in the closure of the southbound lanes of Georgia Highway 365 near Clarksville for more than four hours. The driver of the truck was not injured, but an unknown amount of chickens were killed in the accident.
The truck rolled onto its side around 9 a.m. and was uprighted around 10:30 a.m. However, it took another three hours to gather the chickens on the highway and make needed roadway repairs, according to news reports.
