USPOULTRY updates biosecurity program

USPOULTRY recently updated its "Infectious Disease Risk Management: Practical Biosecurity Resources for Commercial Poultry Producers" program. The program was created to aid in developing more effective biosecurity practices and is designed to be used as a program development tool for personnel training and teaching.
"We are pleased to get this enhanced, interactive DVD in the hands of companies and producers to help address critical areas, protecting our industry's health. Our original biosecurity CD was developed about a decade ago, and we have distributed thousands of copies. This new product will continue that tradition of disseminating crucial information," said John Starkey, president of USPOULTRY.
The enhanced and updated USPOULTRY biosecurity program was developed under the guidance of industry and academia members. The program is interactive and very user-friendly. It includes new educational videos and content, including an introduction video. Revisions were made to the dead bird disposal and pest control management sections, and the resource section includes signs and forms for meetings and monitoring. The program is a multi-purpose, reference, employee training and teaching resource tool.
This program is available to USPOULTRY members, free of charge.
