Jerry Moye, president of Cobb-Vantress, will be the keynote speaker at the USPOULTRY Foundation College Student Career Program opening session that will be held in conjunction with the International Poultry Expo, part of the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE). Moye’s presentation, Transitioning from Academics to Industry, will challenge and motivate students to work diligently toward achieving their career goals as they transition from academics to the work environment.
The USPOULTRY Foundation College Student Career Program, along with the International Student Program, gives companies an opportunity to interview top students for industry-related jobs and internships in one location, during a three-day period. The Program involves students from national and international universities and has been an important part of the hiring process for many companies for more than 40 years.
“Jerry Moye is an industry leader for the world’s oldest pedigree broiler breeding company. We know that his experience will extend to the students as they listen and learn from him,” said Mark Waller, Ingram Farms, chairman of the USPOULTRY Foundation College Student Career Program advisory committee and past USPOULTRY chairman.
The IPPE, the world's largest annual poultry, feed and meat industry trade show, will be held January 27-29, 2015 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. The USPOULTRY Foundation College Student Career Program will also be held on those dates.
