U.S. shell eggs broken totaled 183 million dozen during October, up 5 percent from October in 2011 and 2 percent above the 180 million broken in September, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's latest report.
Of those, 147.2 million pounds were whole eggs, 58.6 million pounds were egg whites and 31.4 million pounds were egg yolks. During calendar year 2012 through October, shell eggs broken totaled 1.768 billion dozen, up 2 percent from the comparable period in 2011. Of that, 1.38 billion pounds were whole eggs, 601.7 million pounds were egg whites and 308.6 million pounds were egg yolks, according to the USDA.

U.S. shell eggs broken totaled 180 million dozen during September, up 2 percent from the same time in 2011 but 8 percent below the 196 million broken in August 2012, according to the latest U.S. Department of Agriculture report.
Of those broken, 143.86 million pounds were whole eggs, 59.275 million pounds were egg whites and 30.606 million pounds were egg yolks. During the calendar year 2012 through September, shell eggs broken totaled 1.585 billion dozen, up 1 percent from the comparable period in 2011. Of that 1.233 billion pounds were whole eggs, 543.168 million pounds were egg whites and 277.161 million pounds were egg yolks. To date, cumulative total edible product from eggs broken in 2012 is 2.054 billion pounds, up 1 percent from 2011, according to the USDA.

U.S. shell eggs broken totaled 196 million dozen during August, up 8 percent from August 2011 and 13 percent above the 172 million broken in July, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's latest report.

U.S. shell eggs broken totaled 172 million dozen during July, down 4 percent from July 2011 and 3 percent below the 179 million broken in June 2012, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's latest report.
Of that number, 135.6 million pounds were whole eggs, 56.1 million pounds were egg whites and 28.5 million pounds were egg yolks. In January through July, shell eggs broken totaled 1.209 billion dozen, up slightly from the comparable period in 2011, according to the USDA. Roughly 938.96 million pounds of that were whole eggs, 416.5 million pounds were egg whites and 213.1 million pounds were egg yolks. To date, cumulative total edible product from eggs broken in 2012 was 1.569 billion pounds, up slightly from 2011 numbers.

Of those eggs, 663.2 million pounds were whole eggs, 300.5 million pounds were egg yolks and 152.6 million pounds were egg yolks.

US shell egg exports up 31 percent in 2012

Total U.S. exports of shell eggs are up 6.91 million dozen, 31 percent, in January–April when compared to the same time period in 2011, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's latest International Egg and Poultry Review.
Total exports of liquid and frozen egg products are up 111.9 metric tons, 2 percent, in the January–April period when compared to the same time in 2011. Individually, liquid and frozen whole egg is down 16 percent, liquid and frozen yolk is down 22 percent and liquid and frozen whites are up 35 percent when compared to the same time period in 2011, according to the USDA.
Total exports of dried egg products are up 1111.3 metric tons, 19 percent, in January–April. Individually, dried whole egg is up 58 percent, dried yolk is down 33 percent and dried whites are up 7 percent when compared to the same time period in 2011.

U.S. shell eggs broken totaled 170 million dozen during January, down slightly from January 2011 and 1 percent above the 168 million broken in December 2011, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Egg whites and egg yolks were up slightly over January 2011 numbers, which came in at 54.5 million pounds and 27.6 million pounds, respectively; however, January's whole egg weight was down from 2011's 138.1 million pounds. Overall, the weight of edible product in January remained higher than January 2011's 220.2 million pounds, according to the data. During the first nine months of 2011, shell eggs broken totaled 1.567 billion dozen, up 1% from the comparable period in 2010. Through September, cumulative total edible product from eggs broken in 2011 was 2.028 billion pounds, up slightly from 2010 numbers. Of that number, 1.24 billion pounds were whole eggs, 525 million pounds were egg whites and 268.3 million pounds were egg yolks.
