Genesus Genetics has opened the Canadian Centre of Gene Transfer at a remote location near Hamiota, Manitoba. The Canadian Centre of Gene Transfer will be an exclusive gene transfer center for Genesus Genetics for domestic and international artificial insemination production for fresh and frozen pig semen.
The facility, with a capacity of 483,000 doses per year, will feature a water system including reverse osmosis technology and double ultraviolet protection against bacteria with a de-ionizer with a backup polisher and continuous circulation for Type 1 water.
The Canadian Canadian Centre of Gene Transfer includes a positive pressure barn with HEPA filtration ad isolation with Noveko filters for protection against aerosol pathogens.
