Mountaire Farms has opened a new employee Health and Wellness Center at the company's poultry processing plant in Lumber Bridge, N.C. The new Mountaire Health and Wellness Center will be operated by Take Care Health, a Walgreens subsidiary.
The Mountaire Farms wellness center will offer primary care, and preventive and wellness services to eligible Mountaire employees and dependents. The center's staff includes a physician, registered nurse and two medical assistants, according to reports.
"The clinic will support Mountaire's goal to provide employees with access to high-quality health services, and promote a culture of health and wellness," the company stated.
Scheduled hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. A medical office, nurse's station, four exam rooms, a procedure room, and a large meeting room and laboratory make up the Health and Wellness Center, which is adjacent to the Mountaire employee parking lot.
