The Bangladesh Poultry Farm Protection National Committee has blamed the country’s Ministry of Fisheries And Livestock for the spread of avian influenza, according to The Daily Star, a national newspaper.
The association’s general secretary, Khandaker Muhammad Mohsin, said in a written statement that the minister does not understand the problems faced by the country’s poultry industry. The ministry needs to train poultry farmers in influenza prevention and general biosecurity, he added.
