Many commercial poultry companies, and suppliers to the industry, get involved in social projects, to help out communities and people that need help. Rarely do we hear about these projects, particularly not in the media.
I just heard about one social project in Argentina, which very much impressed me, so I thought I'd share it.
Biofarma S.A. is a manufacturer and distributor of animal nutrition and health products, based in Argentina. They have just put a small poultry house into operation, with 150 brown egg layers, in a remote village in the mountains.
The project started over a year ago, and after much research, the directors decided to help out a school in the small town of Colanzuli, in the far north of country. This is a remote mountainous area, and 82 students ranging in age from 5 to 14, attend the local school.
