Sara Lilygren, executive vice president of corporate affairs for Tyson Foods, accepts an award for women's diversity.

The New York Women's Forum honored Tyson Foods on November 21 for the company's achievement in women's diversity by having two women serving on its nine-member board of directors. Sara Lilygren, executive vice president of corporate affairs for Tyson Foods, represented the company at the event held at the New York Stock Exchange.
"We are honored to be here today among all the great companies that strive to provide opportunities for women at all levels," said Lilygren. "But we aren't there yet. We've set aggressive goals for ourselves to continue to grow opportunities for the women at Tyson Foods, including current and future team members."
In fiscal year 2013, nearly half of all officer positions at Tyson Foods were filled with females, and nearly 40 percent of the company's 115,000 team members are women.
