Chick-fil-A is the most popular quick service restaurant (QSR) that specializes in chicken in the United States, according to a readership poll conducted by Consumer Reports. Meanwhile, KFC was rated the lowest in the chicken QSR category.
Those polled were asked to rate listed restaurants on a scale from 1 to 10, with 10 being the best tasting.
Chick-fil-A received an average score of 8.1, while KFC had the lowest score at 7.1.
Listed near the top among chicken QSRs were El Pollo Loco, Popeyes Louisiana Chicken and Boston Market, which all scored a 7.7. Bojangles received an average rating of 7.6, while Zaxby’s and Church’s each were given average ratings of 7.3.
Consumer reports also surveyed readers for the best QSRs for hamburgers, burritos, and sandwiches and subs.
Hamburger restaurants rated
The Habit Burger Grill topped the hamburger QSR list with a rating of 8.1, while McDonald’s was the lowest rated at 5.8.
Who has the best burrito?
Chipotle Mexican Grill was the top-rated place for burritos, earning a score of 7.8, while Taco Bell was rated the lowest at 6.3.
Choices for sandwiches and subs
Portillo’s Hot Dogs topped the sandwiches and subs list with an 8.5 score, the highest overall rating among all restaurants. Au Bon Pain had the lowest score for sandwiches and subs at 7.0.
