Pollos San Mateo has inaugurated its new hatchery in the province of Córdoba, Argentina. The new hatchery has been equipped with Petersime single-stage BioStreamer incubators as well as a complete hatchery climate control system, including heat recovery, for an efficient and biosecure production of day-old broiler chicks.
Pollos San Mateo is a family business which has already been dedicated to poultry for more than 40 years. The head office is located in Rio Ceballos, about 30 kilometers from the city of Córdoba.
“As a company that works hard to get excellent quality chicks, we are proud that we now own a modern hatchery with the best technology present in our country,” said Mateo Ligato, president of Pollos San Mateo.
Pablo Ligato, owner of Pollos San Mateo, added: “Our idea is to create added value to the Argentinean grains by transforming it into poultry products, leading to significant job creation for our region. Our customers are our most important asset. With this new important investment, we are sure to be able to serve them better, thus safeguarding the success of our company for future generations.”
In addition to the new hatchery, Pollos San Mateo operates modern technology breeder and broiler farms as well as a state-of-the-art feed mill.
“It is an honor for us to have been selected as a supplier for this new hatchery project. We sincerely thank the Ligato family for their trust in our company and our products,” said Pieter Hemeryck, Latin America director at Petersime. “Together with our agent in Argentina – Mr. Jose Zamora – and his technical team, we will make sure the hatchery operation runs as smoothly as possible.”
