The Tyson Foods pork processing plant in Storm Lake, Iowa will undergo an upgrade in 2014. The company is investing about $8 million in the project.
Tyson Foods spokesman Gary Mickleson told KTIV television the company is adding new pork processing equipment to the facility. However, the upgrade is not an expansion, and no new jobs are expected to come as a result of the Tyson Foods plant upgrade. The Tyson Foods pork plant project is expected to be completed by late spring or early summer of 2014.
