Wimex CEO Gerhard Wagner receives German federal award of merit

Gerhard Wagner, founder and CEO of Wimex Agricultural Products Import & Export GmbH , has been awarded by German President Joachim Gauck with the Order of Merit of the of the Federal Republic of Germany .
Prime Minister Dr. Rainer Haseloff presented the award.
The Order of Merit honors Wagner's outstanding entrepreneur skills, his social commitment and his courage to innovate. A native of the east-Hassian Mountains, Wagner embodies the integration of the two German states after reunification and the associated economic development, particularly in the region Köthen.
Wagner is a prominent figure in the German and international agricultural and food economies. With numerous engagements and presidencies in national and international associations, he has shaped the agricultural and food industry significantly.
