Aviagen Latin America, a poultry breeder, recently held a technical meeting with a group of Chinese customers in Brazil with the aim of sharing information and advice on how poultry breeders on different continents had tackled similar problems. The meeting was held at the offices of Marfrig-Seara, an Aviagen customer in Nuporanga, Sao Paulo state.
The visitors from China heard how to produce a more profitable broiler, primarily focusing on the impacts of correct parent stock and broiler management from Anselmo Micheletti, Aviagen Technical Manager, Brazil. Aline Ferreira Kuntze, Aviagen technical services supervisor, Brazil, gave an additional presentation, focusing on the right incubation management and best practice in the hatchery.
Luciana Belenton, agricultural manager of Marfrig-Seara said: "This project focuses primarily to assist our raw material meat suppliers to Keystone, China, to produce safe food, free of drug residues. Therefore, great emphasis is placed on biosecurity and good agricultural practices during the training program. Attendees really benefited from Aviagen's extensive experience with PS and hatchery management."
Anselmo Micheletti, added, "Aviagen is a broiler breeder company with global presence and market worldwide leadership. Exchanging technical experience with this group was really valuable due to the importance of the Asian market for good quality parent stock."
Marco Aurelio Araujo, technical services manager, Aviagen in Brazil, added: "The event further strengthens global partnership between Aviagen and Marfrig. We, and all our visitors are very grateful for their support."
