Website and magazine launched to focus on poultry health

Zoetis Inc. has published the first edition of Poultry Health Today.
Poultry Health Today is the name of a new website and magazine, sponsored by Zoetis Inc., designed to keep the U.S. poultry industry informed of new research, trends, ideas and practical insights for improving flock care, welfare and performance.
The premier issue and the website, www.poultryhealthtoday.com, were launched January 28 at International Production & Processing Expo in Atlanta.
The magazine's cover story provides detailed coverage on FDA's new guidelines for antimicrobials and their impact on the poultry industry. There's also a special report called "Being More Transparent," which provides tips for talking with the customers and the media about antibiotics and other production inputs.
One of the magazine's regular features, "On the Docket," provides an objective overview of current antibiotic legislation before Congress so readers can share their opinions with lawmakers.
Poultry Health Today also provides quick-read, newsy summaries of key poultry studies published in scientific journals and/or presented at major conferences such as the American Association of Avian Pathologists and the World Veterinary Poultry Association.
