China's Yukou Poultry Industry Co. has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Evonik’s China subsidiary.
Under the agreement, Yukou and Evonik, a global leader in the production of methionine, will collaborate on research pertaining to Yukou's Jinghong and Jingfen egg-layer breeds, with a focus on identifying optimal amino acid levels and feed materials through a multi-spectral analysis. The research is expected to help Yukou's development of a database of feed formulation mixes tailored to the top layer breeds in China, according to a report provided by Smart Agriculture Analytics.
Yukou’s agreement with Evonik is a result of an ongoing project to help Yukou increase its engagement with international partners, and is supported by a team of experts from China Agricultural University, the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Beijing Institute of Animal Husbandry, Shandong Agricultural University, and other leading institutions in the livestock and poultry sector.
Evonik produces and markets important essential amino acids for modern animal nutrition, including MetAMINO (DL-methionine), Biolys (L-lysine), ThreAMINO (L-threonine) and TrypAMINO (L-tryptophan).
