In the Netherlands, animal feed manufacturers Agrifirm and ForFarmers sold their shares in the agricultural software company Agrovision to agri-food insurance, audit and certification group CoMore. Agrifirm previously held 33 percent of Agrovision and ForFarmers had a shareholding of 23 percent. In total, CoMore has bought 92 percent of the shares.
The shareholders said they had chosen to sell in order to focus on their core business, while Agrovision's activities — which include developing and marketing software systems for poultry and pig management — were described as fitting with CoMore's strategy.
