Wilbur-Ellis Company announced it has appointed Rob Fullerton as president of its Feed Division, which markets and distributes value-added pet food, livestock, and aquaculture feed ingredients in North America and Asia-Pacific. Beginning July 1, 2013, Fullerton will lead the strategic direction of the division which reaches over $500 million in annual sales. Fullerton is based out of the Feed Division headquarters in Vancouver, Wash., and will report to John Thacher, president and chief executive officer of Wilbur-Ellis.
"In the last 40 years, we have only had three individuals fill the role of Feed Division president. I believe this demonstrates the strength of our company's leadership," said Thacher. "Rob has proven that he has the knowledge, management skills, and integrity to fulfill such an important position in our company. I am very confident that the Feed Division under Rob's leadership will achieve continued strong growth and success."
Fullerton began his career with Wilbur-Ellis in 1992 as a grain trader based out of Saskatoon, Canada. He has worked in many sales and marketing capacities during his twenty years with the company, eventually becoming senior sales manager in 2008. Fullerton moved to the division's headquarters in 2009, and in 2011 was appointed vice president of the Feed Division. Fullerton will succeed Ron Salter, who has held this position since 1999.
"I believe that our suppliers and employees will have a true partner and leader in Rob," said Salter. He has the experience and principles that our company values in a leader, and most importantly, a vision for the sustainable growth of our business."
"I've had the pleasure of working directly with Rob for the last 20 years, and together, we have seen the Feed Division reach many milestones. I look forward to working with Wilbur-Ellis to assist with this transition," Salter added.
