Miss Georgia to make appearance at 2014 IPPE

      Miss Georgia Carly Mathis will appear at the International Production & Processing Expo on January 28 2014.

      Miss Georgia, Carly Mathis, will be making an appearance at the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) in Atlanta on January 28, 2014. Mathis will help serve chili during the chili cook-off that will be held at 2 p.m. on the show floor in the B-Hall. She will also sign autographs and help with the chili cook-off award presentation. Attendees can stop by the B-Hall to get their picture taken with Miss Georgia.
      Mathis, a graduate of the University of Georgia, was selected as Miss Georgia in June and represented the state in the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City, N.J., in September 2013. At Miss America, she was one of seven Quality of Life finalists recognized for outstanding community service, won the preliminary competition in Lifestyle and Fitness in the Swimsuit category, and was a Top 10 finalist for Miss America 2014 in the nationally televised finals on ABC.
      The Miss Georgia Organization is a volunteer-run nonprofit corporation that is the state's official preliminary to Miss America. The Miss America Organization is one of the nation's leading achievement programs and the world's largest provider of scholarship assistance to young women. In 2012, the Miss America Organization and its state and local organizations made available more than $45 million in cash and scholarship assistance.
      Comprised of three integrated tradeshows - International Poultry Expo, International Feed Expo, and International Meat Expo - the global poultry, feed and meat industry tradeshow will be held Tuesday through Thursday, Jan. 28 - 30, 2014, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. IPPE will feature the latest technology, equipment, and services used in the production and processing of poultry, meat and feed products and will also feature dynamic education programs addressing current industry issues.
