Experts from Aviagen® came face to face with top nutritionists in South Africa recently to discuss the best way to feed the Arbor Acres® (AA) bird, as part of AA’s annual International Nutrition Roadshow.
The technical roadshow for Arbor Acres parent stock customers focused on the nutrition and the effect of the feed on bird performance in breeders and boilers.
Puzant Dakessian, Commercial Manager, Neil Clark Regional Technical Manager, Leonardo Linares, Global Nutritionist and Mohsen Ganjaei, International Technical Service Manager, attended the roadshow representing Aviagen’s international technical support team for Arbor Acres.
They were joined by Arbor Acre’s local technical support team with Deon Venter, South Africa Technical Service Manager and Arno Van Der Nat, South Africa Grandparent Manager also in attendance.
Discussing the roadshow, Leonardo Linares said, “The outstanding Arbor Acres broiler performance is making the breeders very sensitive to the feed. We are completely aware of the effect of the nutrition on the breeders, and we try to be fully supportive of our clients, either through distant support, or face to face, for any assistance and update of the nutrition.”
The team met representatives from a number of different companies in the country during the roadshow, including Chubby Chicks, Eagles Pride and Mikes Chicken.
Mohsen Ganjaei added, “The roadshows require a lot of preparation and hard work from both the local and international teams. However, we try to be ahead of the game. The transfer of knowledge and awareness of the genetic improvements are key to managing such modern birds as AA.
“In our regular face-to-face technical visits and roadshows we do our best to not only solve problems, but also to share experience with our clients, and assist them to comply with biological needs. As the AA family, we will carry on supporting the AA birds because we believe the AA is the breed of choice in South Africa.”
