Employees at Butterball, LLC’s Mount Olive, N.C., facility recently achieved a major milestone in workplace safety by working 3 million hours without an Occupational Health and Safety Administration recordable lost-time injury.
The turkey producer’s workplace safety program consistently delivers safety performance that exceeds poultry industry standards as compiled by the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics. Adopting standards developed by the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Voluntary Protection Program, Butterball implements a reputable safety program that has secured numerous accolades from national and local organizations.
