Nuscience Group, the specialty division of the Royal Agrifirm Group, has acquired Nutrifarma, a leading provider of premixes, concentrates, specialty feeds, additives and services. This acquisition provides Nuscience, a manufacturer of animal feed solutions in Europe, with a stronger foothold in the Brazilian market.
Nutrifarma, according to Nuscience, is perfectly located in the important livestock production area of Southern Brazil. With the headquarters in Taió, Santa Catarina, and production units in Maripá, Paraná, and Teutônia, Rio Grande do Sul, Nutrifarma efficiently covers this large territory. The recently built production facilities provide a strong growth potential.
“We are delighted to close this deal with Nutrifarma,” says Patrick Keereman, CEO of the Nuscience Group. Nutrifarma, founded in 1999 and owned by Alfonso Corral, Evaristo Varela from Spain and Fernando Eluchans from Argentina, has a very comparable strategy to the Nuscience Group.
“We share the same mission of creating added value for the customer by means of our innovative and high performing nutritional knowledge and products. Nutrifarma’s track record on growth is similar to ours and the company is now ready to make the next step. By joining our group, we can give them the support and the necessary specialty products to accelerate this growth. In the meantime we will start to exploit the many synergies that exist,” Keereman added.
Maria Corral will continue to lead the Nutrifarma management team, which will continue to manage the company within the Nuscience Group.
