A 19-year-old Indonesian woman has died of avian influenza, the country's third death in 2012, according to health ministry reports.
She died of the H5N1 virus on February 13 after being treated in a hospital in Tanggerang town on the outskirts of Jakarta. She first felt symptoms of the disease five days earlier and was treated in the hospital the day before she died. It is still unknown how the woman contracted the virus.
