China's Sunner Development plans to increase its annual broiler output from 250 million chickens to 750 million
chickens in the next five years, according to reports.
The company aims to increase the number of grandparent breeders from 54,000
pairs to 160,000 pairs. Sunner will also build three facilities capable of
producing 250 million broilers per year in Fujian province, each of which will
include a feed factory, a parental chicken breeding facility, a hatchery, a
merchandise chicken feed factory and a slaughterhouse. The investment in the
project totals around 10 billion to 12 billion RMB. The money needed will come
from Sunner, bank loans and other financial methods, said the company.
